Challenge 20/20 is an Internet-based program that pairs classes from schools in the U.S. with their counterpart classes in schools in other countries; together the teams (of two or three schools) tackle real global problems to find solutions that can be implemented at the local level and in their own communities.

The 8th Grade Social Studies classes will help with this challenge by researching and informing the 7th grade classes about the partner schools country's characteristics.

Requirements: Students will research assigned countries or cities based on the chart on the Areas of Study page.

1. Each student will be required to take notes and record citation information in Noodle Tools.
2. To get the information needed to establish three catorgies of analysis and the research practice needed to master the skill, students are required to have a minimum of two book sources, two database articles, and two web sites.
3. There is no limit to the number of notecards.
4. Once the research process is completed (by Thursday, October 20), students should complete the CORE Structure worksheet.
5.On Friday, October 21, the ideas developed on this worksheet will be brought to the full group to which each student will be assigned.
6. The group will then develop a PowerPoint to show the 7th grade. A more detailed explanation of the jobs required for group work is explained on the Jobs page.
